ABOUT

The ‘HERA AI – Predictive Health Interface’ project is an 18-month project led by the research team at the Medical Rescue Association of Turkey (MEDAK), supported by the Global Health Institute (GHI) at the American University of Beirut (AUB), and funded by the Canadian International Development Research Centre (IDRC). This project aims to alleviate the healthcare burden and enhance access to preventive health services in crises, by leveraging an Artificial Intelligence (AI)- powered chatbot embedded in WhatsApp to provide pregnant women with personalized health advice.

OBJECTIVES

Improve Sexual, Reproductive, and Maternal Health (SRMH) outcomes for refugee and crisis-affected populations.
Augment communication between disaster-affected women, children, and healthcare services
Reduce the workload on healthcare professionals in crises
