he Global Health Institute (GHI) at the American University of Beirut (AUB), in collaboration with IOM Regional Office for Middle East and North Africa (RO MENA), cordially invites you to attend its upcoming virtual panel titled “Conflict-Induced Environmental Degradation: Impacts on Climate, Displacement and Health”. This panel is hosted by the Cli-Health Program (CHP) and is part of a series of events that IOM and the GHI are organizing throughout 2025-2026 on the Climate Change-Health-Migration Nexus. The virtual panel will feature a moderated discussion with local, regional, and international experts from to explore the complex and interconnected impacts of conflict-induced environmental degradation on climate change, and how these overlapping dynamics influence health outcomes and contribute protracted displacement particularly in vulnerable and conflict-affected settings such as the MENA region. The panel will advance field-based insights, highlight key challenges, and identify integrated, context-sensitive approaches to strengthen resilience across the nexus. Register Now
