Global Health Diplomacy and Security Program | GHDP
ABOUT GHDP
The Global Health Diplomacy and Security Program (GHDP) aims to strengthen research, dialogue, and capacity at the intersection of health, diplomacy, and security, with a focus on the Global South. In an increasingly polarized and geopolitically fragmented landscape, where conflict, climate vulnerability, and constrained financing strain health systems, the Program recognizes health as one of the few remaining bridges for constructive international engagement.
Building on GHI’s experience in global and humanitarian health and leveraging regional and international partnerships, the Program aims to generate policy-relevant research, foster cross-sector dialogue, and support capacity development for researchers, policymakers, diplomats, and health professionals. By helping align scientific evidence with diplomatic processes and promoting a shared language between scientific and policy communities, the initiative seeks to contribute to more inclusive, coordinated, and evidence-informed global health cooperation.
