Qualitative Research Design and Application in Conflict Settings

Course Description

This course explores the basis for selecting and designing qualitative research in a conflict setting. Learners will be introduced to the different qualitative research methodologies, the steps for designing a rigorous study, and the analytical journey. The course first explores the theoretical frameworks of qualitative research. Fellows will be able to demonstrate the ability to propose a qualitative research question and a suitable sampling and data collection method. The fellows will also be guided through the process of preparing a qualitative research proposal.
