Course Description

Effective management of financial resources is critical for the survival of any organization, including non-governmental organizations (NGOs). Financial Management refers to the planning, organizing, directing, and controlling the financial activities such as procurement and utilization of funds of the enterprise. All staff, program personnel, and even board members have a shared responsibility to ensure proper financial management.

This course equips professionals working in NGOs with an understanding of financial management practices, accounting, internal control, budgeting, and auditing. After this course, learners will be able to manage their revenues and expenditures, devise a financial risk plan, and ensure sound financial assessment.
