Course Description

Disasters have devastating consequences causing cause deaths and injuries, the destruction of property and infrastructure, mass displacement, mutilation to the environment and social and economic disturbance and. Humanitarian managers should be equipped with the proper planning and implementation skills in order to better prepare, respond and recover from disasters. This course is design to introduce the learners to the key concepts, models and framework of disaster management and disaster response. The course will cover approaches to responding to several disaster and crisis, including health and nutrition, relief and WASH.
