Description
This course essentially aims at serving as a steppingstone for developing expertise for humanitarian practitioners, researchers, and policy makers globally. The course portrays how International Humanitarian Law (IHL) guides the conduct of hostilities, mitigates the consequences of warfare restrains the use of force, and protects civilians in armed conflicts. The course also discusses the role of IHRL (International Human Rights Law) in conflict settings as well as ways and means to enforce adherence to both sets of rules.
