Being Accountable to Affected People – Contextualized for the MENA region (En)

Description

This online self-study course will address key concepts in accountability in humanitarian settings. The course will help ensure individuals and humanitarian organizations are accountable to the people affected by humanitarian response. The course will give real-life examples and address situations that are contextualized for the MENA region. Moreover, part of the module will equip learners with skills needed to maintain accountability in challenging situations.

Learning Outcomes

This course explores scenarios and skills to be more accountable towards affected communities and addresses the following learning outcomes:

  •  To discuss the definition of accountability to affected populations
  •  To explore why accountability to affected people is increasingly in focus
  • To discuss how to build accountability to affected people into every stage of the project cycle
  • To address challenges to accountability
