Description

The Global Health Institute (GHI) at the American University of Beirut (AUB), through its Climate Change and Health (Cli-Health) Program, is hosting a regional event that brings together academic leaders, policy experts, practitioners, donors, and civil society actors to discuss the importance of capacity building in addressing climate-related health challenges. The event highlights capacity building as a key pillar for strengthening preparedness and promoting effective, health-informed responses to climate change.

The program will feature expert presentations showcasing recent evidence, research findings, and ongoing initiatives, alongside a high-level panel discussion exploring gaps and opportunities in climate and health education. Discussions will also focus on how capacity-building efforts can better bridge science, policy, and practice, and support climate-resilient decision-making across the region.
