ABOUT
The ‘FADA: Fetal Abnormality Detection Algorithm’ project is an 18-month project led by the research team at the Hamad Bin Khalifa University (HBKU) in Qatar, supported by the Global Health Institute (GHI) at the American University of Beirut (AUB), funded by the Canadian International Development Research Centre (IDRC) and the UK International Development (FCDO). This project aims to revolutionize prenatal healthcare across the Middle East and North Africa (MENA) region through leveraging artificial intelligence (AI) to transform the standard 2D ultrasound scans into comprehensive 3D images that can offer a complete picture of the fetus.
