About NGOi

The Non-Governmental Organizations Initiative (NGOi) is an initiative of the American University of Beirut that provides different services to the NGO sector in Lebanon and the MENA region.

Mission

Enhancing the wellbeing and quality of life of communities in the MENA region by developing and empowering the NGO sector.

Vision

To be the regional hub for the NGO sector certification, development, and knowledge exchange.

The NGOi Self-Assessment Platform is an interactive user-friendly platform that enables any NGO operating in the Middle East and North Africa region to undergo a self-assessment of its operations, structures, policies, and procedures based on 10 evidence-based standards.

The NGOi presents a knowledge resource center comprising relevant and reliable material that keep NGOs staff and leadership up-to-date.

NGOi offers a convening platform for the NGOs to engage in face-to-face and virtual events that build bridges, provide better understanding for its stakeholders, create common grounds, and foster collaboration.

PERFORMANCE IMPROVEMENT

NGOi’s performance improvement service provides on-demand professional guidance and support to NGOs on organizational development and strategic management through a team of specialized experts.

DIGITAL COMMUNICATION MANAGEMENT

Through the digital communication service, NGOi supports NGOs in planning, designing, and implementing online campaigns using digital communication platforms and tools via coaching, mentoring, and tailored technical support packages.
