This two-day workshop will introduce participants to the foundations, principles and applications of the Global Burden of Disease Study (GBD), including real-world examples of how countries are utilizing it for decision making and hands-on exercises to familiarize participants with the many resources available.

OUTCOMES

Promoting evidence-based decision making and supporting policy-makers with informative sources to support their work.
  • Familiarize participants with the GBD as a resource for evidence-based decision-making.
  • Develop skills in analyzing and understanding trends and patterns in health outcomes.
  • Build competencies in evidence-based decision making, including translating analyses into relevant health policies.
